The activities and foundation of the company began in 2009, when Ken Engels was seated in the cockpit of a Citation business jet. After spending a great deal of his life in aviation, Ken observed and studied various operational problems and challenges facing flight crews as well as the staff on ground. Based on his life-long experiences, the aeroplan's products emerged.

Aeroplan is based on Ken's desire to develop agile processes and procedures as intrinsic parts of the program's system design. The functionality enables users to handle aeroplan's products in a minimum of time.

As a result, aeroplan's products are customized for Air Operators and Maintenance Facilities. This approach optimizes information processing, cost savings and sustainable performance improvements.

All products are in compliance with EU Regulatory Requirements. The latest Aeroplan generations in progress also include IATA's Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) requirements.

The products are designed to function as "Stand Alone Modules" or can be operated as an "Integrated Platform" with synergy from two or more Modules. This approach optimizes information processes, which is particularly of value when handling Safety Management Systems.

The products can either be delivered "in the Cloud" or directly to the customer's hosted environment.
